Congratulations to Jeff &
Julie Hall of Fort Wayne!!!
Jeff and Julie Hall were the winners of “Doc” Dancer’s 1st
annual Oldest Air Conditioner Contest. Their OLD air conditioner was a Carrier
Centrifugal Chiller which utilizes chilled water and the blower on their furnace
to cool the air throughout their home. We estimate this old-time a/c system to
be an amazing 58 years old! The home was originally built in 1937 and the Halls
are only the 2nd owners. The Halls are the proud parents of 5
children and they have lived in this Southwood Park home since 1991.
The Halls are grateful to be trading in their old inefficient a/c system for a
brand new RHEEM 13 SEER HIGH EFFICIENT AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. They are glad
this change in equipment will help conserve our earth’s natural resources, not
to mention the money they will save a year in water and electricity bills!
While their old system was pretty reliable, there were months where they spent
a considerable amount of money for the water used to cool their home. Now that
money will be in their pocket!
Besides the Halls, the owners of the next four oldest a/c
units entered in our 2008 Oldest Air Conditioner Contest were as follows:
2nd place – Mr. Traves
Pepple - Honeywell Vision Pro Programmable Thermostat including
installation (value up to $295)
3rd place – Mr. Roland Berz - 1
Year Peak Performance Service Agreement including 1 A/C and 1 furnace precision
tune-up (value $179)
4th place – Ms.
Sarah Romano - Kool Kap Protective Air Conditioning Cover
including installation (value up to $129)
5th place – Mr. Larry
Landis - 1 Year's Supply of Pleated Air Filters or 1 Space-Gard Filter
(value up to $60)
In addition to the winners above, there were five lucky
winners (drawn from the remaining entrants) of a “Doc” Dancer Air Conditioner
Precision Tune-up (value $103.95). The winners were:
Mr. Karl Koepp
Mr. Justin Shippy
Mr. Paul Minkey
Mr. Joe Bryie
Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Wagner
We thank everyone who entered “Doc” Dancer’s 1st
annual Oldest Air Conditioner Contest. We invite everyone to look for our 2nd
Annual Oldest Furnace and Oldest Air Conditioner Contests in 2009….it’s sure to
have lots of prizes and be a fun time again!
