OLDEST FURNACE CONTEST
Entry Rules
- The contest is for owner occupied, single family homes with warm air heating systems.
- Entrants must be 21 years of age or older and residents of Indiana.
- Entrants must be homeowners and fully empowered to make purchases and home improvement decisions regarding their residence.
- Homes must be located within the “Doc” Dancer, Inc. primary servicing area defined as Allen
County.
- Entries must be received by March 21, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.
- Entries may be completed online at www.docdancer.com, emailed to nberning@docdancer.com, or mailed to “Doc” Dancer, Inc. at 2309 S. Anthony Blvd., Ft. Wayne, IN 46803.
- The furnace MUST be operating and providing heat to the home.
- Representatives from “Doc” Dancer must be allowed access to the furnace to examine the installation and record manufacturer nameplate information (model & serial numbers and dates).
- The winner will be the oldest furnace submitted according to objective information such as model & serial numbers, installation or sale paperwork provided by the homeowner and/or the best judgment of “Doc” Dancer, Inc. employees.
- All decisions are final.
- The winner will be selected on March 22, 2008 and informed prior to any media announcements.
- The winner will be posted online @ www.docdancer.com on March 26, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.
- The winning entry will receive a new Rheem 90+ high
efficiency gas furnace with the installation to be paid for by the entrant.
- The winning entry will be responsible for: Installation by “Doc” Dancer, Inc.,
permit fees, taxes, duct system modifications (if necessary), any hazardous material removal and abatement (e.g., asbestos), and any improvements needed to bring the installation in compliance with existing building and mechanical codes (any applicable costs will be discussed beforehand).
- The winning entry will agree to allow “Doc” Dancer to use images and likenesses of the old and new furnaces and homeowners and the homeowners’ name in promotional material.
- The winner will provide “Doc” Dancer, Inc. with 12 months of heating bill information prior to the replacement, 12 months of heating bill information following the installation, and release “Doc” Dancer, Inc. to share this information and data with the public.
- Entrants will receive newsletters and other information from “Doc” Dancer, Inc from time to time,
but “Doc” Dancer Inc. lists or customer information will NOT be shared with other companies. Entrants can remove themselves from any subscription lists at any time by notifying “Doc” Dancer, Inc. by mail, phone, or e-mail
if their desire to be removed from any lists.
- Entrants agree to hold “Doc” Dancer, Inc., its owners, agents and employees harmless for any injuries, loss or damages related to the contest.
- Prize is non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
- No entry fee or purchase is required to enter.
- Employees of “Doc” Dancer, Inc. and their family members are not eligible.
